In the world of business, there's always a chance that you may be giving a gift to someone who keeps Kosher.
If you are not including Kosher-Certified food with your gift, it's possible that your gift is actually being passed on to someone else, or worse - tossed in the trash!
- All of our food items are 100% Kosher Certified by strict supervision and are always marked with the appropriate Kosher Symbol.
- We have a range of food items we use with our gifts. If we do not have the item featured in our photos, we will replace it with another food item of same or higher value.
- If you are looking for specific food products, please let me know and I will do my best to accommodate your needs.
Here is a short summary of the basic rules of Kosher Certification & why it is important to have the right company handle your Kosher gifts:
- The Laws of Kashrut are a set of intricate biblical laws (dating all the way back to Moses!) detailing which foods can and cannot be eaten by observant Jews. It also includes details on the manner in which food is prepared, both at home and in commercial settings such as factories, hotels, restaurants, etc.
- To be considered Kosher-Certified every single ingredient, as well as the preparation process, must be overseen and certified by an expert in the field.
- The laws can be complicated, so the best way to ensure that processed foods are 100% Kosher Certified is by having a Kosher Organization review all aspects of the food preparation process and then certify the food with their unique symbol on the packaging, signifying that the food meets their strict requirements. There are many Kashrut Organizations. (Some are more trusted than others.)
- Kosher Foods are separated into 3 Primary Categories:
- Meat
- Dairy
- Pareve refers to the status of being neither Meat nor Dairy and includes restrictions on being prepared with utensils or machinery that have previously been used for Meat or Dairy foods.
- Other laws regarding Kosher food are applicable to Wine, Fish, Nuts, Bugs and Passover.
